For interior designers & galleries

Trade Program

Wholesale terms for galleries, interior designers, hotels, and wellness studios worldwide. Curated lots, white-label options, sea freight available.

We work with galleries in London, Paris, and Lisbon; with interior design studios in Berlin, Brooklyn, Sydney, and Melbourne; and with a small number of boutique hotels and wellness studios from Bali to British Columbia. If you place pieces in front of clients for a living, we would like to hear from you.

Trade pricing

  • 35% off catalogue price on orders above €1,500.
  • 40% off on orders above €5,000.
  • Bespoke arrangement above €15,000 — co-branded provenance cards in your language, custom packaging, direct WhatsApp lines to the workshops you most often draw from, and one annual sourcing visit to Kathmandu hosted by us for buyers at this tier.

Samples & swatches

Single-piece samples are available at full retail and are refundable as a credit against your first qualifying trade order. Yarn cards for our pashmina, felt swatches for the yak wool, and dye samples for the indigo and pomegranate runs are sent free of charge worldwide — write to us with the studio address and we air-mail within a week.

Shipping

Trade orders ship via DHL Express for speed, or sea freight for larger consignments.

  • Kathmandu → Europe · sea freight runs once a month from Birgunj port via Kolkata · roughly 6 weeks transit · recommended for orders above 80 kg.
  • Kathmandu → US East Coast · approximately 8 weeks via Suez or Cape route.
  • Kathmandu → US West Coast, Australia · approximately 7 weeks via the Pacific.
  • Air freight · 7–14 days door-to-door anywhere we ship retail.

Most trade orders dispatch from Kathmandu within 4 weeks of payment for in-stock pieces; longer for commissioned work.

Customs documentation — done for you

We provide everything your customs broker needs without being asked:

  • Commercial invoice in English with correct HS codes.
  • Packing list with itemised dimensions and weights.
  • Nepal Form A Certificate of Origin for GSP / EBA preferential duty rates — this routinely saves 5–10% in EU and UK clearance.
  • Fumigation certificate where required for wood crates (US, AU, NZ).
  • CITES declarations where applicable.

We have an in-house export specialist; you do not have to manage any of this yourself.

Payment terms

30% deposit on confirmation via Wise or SWIFT, balance against pro-forma invoice before dispatch. We invoice in EUR by default; USD or GBP on request. We do not offer net-30 terms on first orders; after the first successful order we can discuss net-30 or net-60 for established buyers.

Resale & exclusivity

You may resell our pieces at any margin you choose. We do not enforce minimum retail pricing. Geographic exclusivity is available by arrangement for buyers in the bespoke tier — typically one buyer per city for the more limited categories (carved wood, embroidered silk).

How to apply

Email us with three things: (i) what you do and where you sell, (ii) a link to your studio site or Instagram, and (iii) a rough sense of what interests you — categories, price points, volumes. We reply within two working days. We do not gatekeep, but we do ask — our makers are limited in capacity and we like to know where their work ends up.
